Select Strategies, Technology,
Media, and Materials:
Media/Technology: A website for virtual field trips (http://www.uen.org/utahlink/tours/tourFames.cgi?tour_id=14346)
Materials:
The class textbook will serve as a second resource.
Utilize Technology, Media, and
Materials:
Preview:
All technology will be previewed by both teachers to make sure everything is
working properly.
Prepare technology, media, materials: All materials, technology, and media will be
previewed and prepared for student use ahead of time.
Prepare the environment: Classrooms will be set up so that technology
is easily accessible to all students.
Prepare the learners: Learners will be prepared by having previous
experience using the computers and internet in the classroom.
Provide the learning experience: Each student will be provided the best
learning experience possible with different learner-centered activities.
The teacher will also be engaged with teacher-centered activities while
directing the students.
Require Learner Participation:
All students will be actively engaged at all times
with the different links on the virtual website and with assessments they will
be taking.
Evaluate and Revise:
Pre-assessment: An objective-style test will
be given to see what information is already known about labs, if any.
Practice:
The practice will take place as students are on the virtual field trip website.
Post-assessment: An objective-style multiple choice test will be given to assess
knowledge from the virtual field trip.
